Pet grooming is an industry that does not require education or certification, but both are strongly advised. Pet groomers may work in a pet store, a private pet grooming facility, a veterinary clinic, or from a mobile van.
We make sure that the equipment we use is safe for the pets, our personnel, and you. Puppies, older dogs, and overweight pets are professionally handled with care by our team. We use a grooming restraint to prevent pets from spinning, becoming entangled in the loop, leaping and/or falling off tables, and biting.
If you find your dog scooting around on the carpet and emitting a fishy odour, his anal sacs, or glands, are probably in need of attention. We follow our guidelines to keep our groomers and pet parents at a safe distance from one another. Only the pet getting services and one pet parent are permitted to attend our check-in counter. If another pet is being checked in, pet parents are urged to keep a safe distance between themselves and others by waiting outside the salon. We're also setting aside half an hour between grooming appointments to clean and sanitize the work area before welcoming the next pet.
